Why I Don't Work With Demons
or angels, or ancestors, or gods, or spirit guides, or...
To continue my thoughts on why I don't "work with" ANY entities (deities, demons, etc.) in my magickal practice, here's a word from Russell Pickering, who has a great deal of experience traversing subtle planes...
Russell: "I have had MANY interactions telepathically. As you know, there is a difference between being aware of disincarnates and being able to communicate with them as opposed to letting one overtake your central nervous system (channeling). I spent years in hardcore training and apprenticeship to be able to handle these interactions, generally to a positive outcome.
I was often scared s***less, and we experienced significant unwanted side effects. Things that affected Nancy, me, and the cats. Even physical appearances and stuff being moved.
The most enlightening aspect of that training is how extremely adept not-incarnated beings are at deception!
These beings are ALWAYS either trying to achieve something or prevent something. They may represent other beings that they have conscripted themselves to for personal gain (achieve). Some are flat out under duress and acting outside of their own ethics to survive (prevent).
Then we have the human disincarnates that are simply lost and confused. They think because they are on the so-called "astral" planes, they now have some special wisdom. LOL! Generally, they are driven by misguided goodness or standard earth-type desires like protecting those they love that are still in the physical planes. That place is a mess.
The TRUE beings assisting us do so with NO contract. NO expectations. NO need to be praised or looked up to. They are our silent partners. We might see a "miraculous" effect, but we will never see them. They operate for the most good, for the most beings, for the longest duration. Optimum is ALL they care about.
I NEVER go snooping around. Unless somebody knocks on my door, I leave the disincarnates and the other not-incarnated beings alone. Period.
The more we try to understand, the more we will be resisted. The more we understand, the more isolated we will become.
You are not alone! Extricating ourselves from these stupid entanglements we got ourselves into is difficult work. By sharing your journey openly the way you do, you contribute to the well-being of others who will acknowledge you, and you will repel the rest.
Guess which happens more often? 🙃"
Alicen again: I know this line of thinking may seem unusual or even shocking, because of how normal it is for people to make casual soul contracts with disincarnates (like calling on "spirit guides," channeling messages from "angels," etc.)
This information may be especially offensive to those of you who have special relationships with spirits, ancestors, etc.
But I promise you, it's not necessary to your spiritual growth to create contracts or pacts with any being, and it's okay to forge your own path. You're not any less of a magician because you refuse to go through self-appointed gatekeepers.
