I was on Mickey’s podcast again! We had an EPIC conversation about Evil:
This episode was such a relief for me, because I’ve been itching to talk about a gross trend in the Truther “community,” and that is: calling people Evil based on their aesthetic rather than their actions.
I said it in the podcast, and I’ll say it here too:
Evil is not a color.
Evil is not a number.
Evil is not a belief or an idea.
Evil is not a shape, or a symbol, or a label, or anything superficial.
Evil is a force, and its qualities can only be observed through people’s actions.
Remember that next time you’re tempted to flagrantly call people “Evil”
(or “transphobic” or “Illuminati” or whatever your preferred synonym for “bad” is)
because they said a word you wouldn’t say,
or because they wear black,
or because they like butterflies,
or because of anything surface-level that says nothing about their character: how they behave and treat people.
Per usual, after we finished recording this podcast, I thought of plenty more to say.
So I’ll be elaborating on this in the future.
Are You Evil?
I'd say evil can be observed sans action...because we possess (greatly suppressed) psychic abilities to detect the energy signature of evil as well as that of evil intent. We have been trained to forget, ignore or suppress these inherent abilities. Don't think we even have very good language to discuss this topic. That said, I understand Alicen's astute thesis that observing evil through actions is a critical lens. It serves to warn ourselves of evil and hold everyone accountable..it also recognizes that we all have the capacity to choose our actions to be good or evil. To observe evil through actions gives each of us the leway to choose right action or not..and to treat everyone accordingly. Excellent article ❣️
