Beautiful song which I think requires many listenings. I have trouble with the OT “God” who negatively interacts in temporal time, or maybe it’s just metaphor. We humans do enough damage with our own hands. Thank you.
That verse is widely misinterpreted because it’s often taken out of context. The chapter in which that verse can be found talks about how god will bring sorrow and calamity to those who oppose his chosen people. He will destroy any empire that goes against his followers.
